Cowboy Basketball Seat Upgrade Process

OSU Athletics is currently receiving a large number of calls regarding seats for Men's Basketball. The 2 most frequent requests are:
1. How can I upgrade my seats?
2. How can I secure premium seats if I am currently not a season ticket holder?
The following is a step-by-step explanation of how the process will work this season.
Seat Upgrade Requests (current season ticket holders only)
For persons interested in a seat upgrade, there are several steps to follow:
- Persons must “qualify” for seats based on priority point requirements in each section (please see attached page for points required by section.
- After the ticket renewal deadline of August 1, 2005, the Athletic Ticket Office will determine the number of seats available based on non-renewals. Once season ticket renewals have been processed, the Ticket Office will begin ranking persons requesting upgrades by priority points. Individuals that qualify based on points will be included in this ranking. Once season tickets have been assigned, available seats will be allocated based on priority points to “qualified” individuals requesting upgrades.
- If a person wants to upgrade to a particular section of the arena, but does not have the points necessary to qualify, that person can earn the appropriate number of points by making a donation to the Varsity Athletics Fund (earning 3 points per $100 given) by August 12, 2005. This donation does not guarantee a seat upgrade; it only qualifies the individual for consideration should seating become available.
Premium Seat Requests (New season ticket holders or non-season ticket holders)
- Persons must request, in writing, season tickets for the 2005-2006 men's basketball season. Please specify number of tickets requested, location desired with as much specificity (first row, back row, aisle seat, etc.) as possible. Requests must be received at the OSU Athletic Ticket Office by July 29, 2005. (Post-mark must be July 25th or sooner).
- Persons must qualify for seats based on the priority point requirements per section (please see attached page for points required).
- Follow steps 2 and 3 above....
Those individuals who do not receive upgrade requests may be provided alternate options for seating, based on availability.
Seat Transfers (MBB only)
- Ticket transfers may be initiated between immediate family members only. The following individuals qualify as immediate family:
- Mother/father
- Son/daughter
- Individuals listed on requestor's state/federal income tax return.
- Transfer requests must be submitted in writing to the OSU Athletic Ticket Office by the current season ticket holder by July 29, 2005.
- To execute a ticket transfer, the individual receiving the tickets must qualify based on priority point requirements in the section being requested (please see attached page for points required by section).
- If the individual receiving tickets does not have the points necessary to qualify for the seats requested, that person can earn the appropriate number of points by making a donation to Varsity Athletics Fund (earning 3 points per $100 given).
- If person receiving tickets achieves appropriate point level by deadline issued by OSU's Athletic Ticket Office, the transfer request may be executed.
- A one-time-only transfer fee of $100 (for up to 6 tickets) will be charged to the individual receiving the ticket transfer.
- Ticket transfers are on a one-time-only basis.
