Cowgirl Basketball Signs Fourth Junior College Standout of Spring

Oklahoma State's women's basketball team has announced the signing of Viviane Nascimento to a National Letter of Intent it was announced today by OSU head coach Kurt Budke.
“Vivi is an active player that is a tremendous passer and can shoot the three,” Budke said. “We needed to get bigger and stronger and she can come in and make a difference right away.”
A native of Sao Paulo, Brazil, Nascimento was twice named an honorable mention NJCAA All-American and was tabbed as an All-Region II selection while competing for Northeastern Oklahoma A&M College. This past season, she was also chosen as a member of the NJCAA Region II All-Tournament Team.
The 5-11 guard will join the Cowgirl program after averaging 12.3 points and 5.2 rebounds per game this past season for NEO. Nascimento also led the squad with 76 steals and connected on 41 percent of her 3-point attempts.
