Cowgirl Golfers to compete in NCAA West Regional

The Cowgirls will compete in the NCAA West Regional, May 5-7, in Las Cruces, N.M., on the New Mexico State University Golf Course. The other two sites are the East Regional in Gainesville, Fla., and the Central Regional in Lubbock, Texas.
Oklahoma State is fresh off its fourth Big 12 Women's Golf Championship title in five seasons. The Cowgirls defeated Texas by one stroke in the three-round tournament. Senior Annie Thurman-Young won the individual title for the second-straight year.
Other Big 12 schools competing in the NCAA Regionals include Texas, Missouri, Baylor, Texas A&M and Texas Tech, all in the Central Regional.
The top eight teams and two individuals not affiliated with those eight teams from each of the three regionals will advance to the NCAA Championships. This year's championships will be held at the Sunriver Resort on the Meadows Course in Sunriver, Ore.
