Cowgirls Host Conference Leading Baylor in Season Finale

Oklahoma State's women's tennis team carries a two-match win streak into Saturday's 11 a.m. showdown against No. 14 Baylor at the DeBois Tennis Center.

The 66th ranked Cowgirls (8-13, 4-6) fell in last year's meeting against the Bears (19-4, 10-0) in Waco, 7-0.

“We are excited about the opportunity to play in such a meaningful match,” said head coach Julius Lubicz-Majewski. “Baylor is awfully good and both teams will play their hardest for good seeding in the conference tournament.”

BU is coming off a 7-0 win against Oklahoma at the Headington Family Tennis Center in Norman, Okla. on Thursday. OSU has won two straight against conference foes in Stillwater.

The Cowgirls are led by freshman Iryna Tkachenko. Currently ranked No. 87, Tkachenko will face her highest ranked opponent when she squares off against No. 27 Zuzana Zemenova at No. 1 singles.
