Cowgirl golfers tied for 11th at Bryan National Collegiate

Georgia and Duke are tied for team honors after the first day, with each team recording a four-under-par 284. Florida is in third place with a two-over 290, while Tennessee (291), Tulane (293) and Furman (293) round out the top-six teams.
Duke's Elizabeth Janangelo shot a five-under-par 67 and leads a trio of golfers for first place. In all, nine golfers shot a sub-par round during the first day.
Cowgirl junior Kyla Welsh is tied for 32nd place with a 75, while freshman Ali Griffin is tied for 49th with a 77. Sophomore Mallorie Underwood shot an 82, while junior Karin Sjödin carded an 84.
The tournament will continue on Saturday with another round of 18 holes, and conclude on Sunday with a final round of 18.
