Men's Tennis Hosts Pair of Conference Opponents

The 11th-ranked Cowboys (13-4, 3-1) defeated No. 46 SMU, 5-2, on Wednesday in Dallas. Tomas Bohunicky, Boris Kuharic, Daniel Byrnes and Artie Burmistrau each picked up singles wins in the match. It was Kuharic's team-leading 13th win of the year, and Byrnes' 12th consecutive victory.
Texas is 8-3 on the season and defeated St. Edwards and Texas-San Antonio in a doubleheader on Wednesday. The Longhorns feature two ranked individuals and one ranked doubles team.
Callum Beale is ranked 25th in the nation and will play No. 30 Mark Van Elden at No. 1 singles. Roger Gubser is 65th and will take on Kuharic at the No. 3 position. Beale and Travis Helgeson are ranked 53rd in doubles and will play No. 47 Kuharic and Felipe Diaz at the No. 1 position in a clash of ranked opponents.
OSU will be looking to defeat Texas for just the second time in school history. The Cowboys defeated the Longhorns 4-2 in the 2003 Big 12 Tournament.
The Aggies are 7-5 on the year after losing a 4-3 decision at No. 12 USC on Tuesday. They are led by 14th-ranked Jerry Makowski at No. 1 singles. No. 85 Bryan Wooten will man the third spot for the Aggies, and Brett Joelson and Ante Metijevic pair up to form the 31st-ranked doubles team in the land. They will play in the No. 1 slot.
A&M holds a 14-4 all-time series edge, but the Cowboys upset the No. 10 Aggies 4-3 in their 2003 match in Stillwater.
