Edmisson has amassed over 300 wins during his tenure as a head coach, including 200 victories over the past nine seasons at Hutchinson Community College in Kansas.
During his stint at Hutchinson, Edmisson compiled a 200-77 record and led his squads to Jayhawk West Conference runner-up finishes in 1996 and 1998. Under his direction, the Blue Dragons finished in the top four in the conference nine times and were ranked among the top 40 teams nationally six times. Edmisson's squads reached the Region VI playoffs seven times the regional Elite Eight four times from 1996-1999 and again in 2001.
In addition, Edmisson's teams consistently ranked among the nation's elite statistically, finishing in the top 10 defensively six times.
All told, Edmisson produced nine All-Americans, 10 all-region picks, 25 all-conference selections as well as the conference freshmen of the year in 1995 and 1998. In 1990, he served as an assistant coach for the NJCAA-USA All-Star Team that won the gold medal during its tour of Taiwan. His teams were just as successful in the classroom, turning out 14 academic All-Americans and maintaining a team GPA of a 3.0 or above from 1994-2002.
Prior to his arrival at Hutchinson, Edmisson directed the Ellinwood (Kan.) High School program from 1989-1992, winning a conference championship in his final season. EHS finishes as the sub-state runner-up in 1992 as well as the midseason tournament runner-up in 1991 and 1992 under his guidance.
Edmisson's tour of duty at Fairfield (Kan.) High School was a trend-setting one, as he produced back-to-back winning seasons for the first time in school history and captured FHS' first-ever conference championship in 1987.
Edmisson began his coaching career at the NAIA level, serving as an assistant for Doan College (Neb.) during the 1986-87 season.
As a player, Edmisson served as the team captain during both of his seasons at Pratt Community College and was tabbed as the squad's “Most Inspirational Player”.
He and his wife, Gina, have two children, Corbin and Cierra.
