Men's Tennis Upset by UNLV, 4-3

The Cowboys (9-3) lost the doubles point for only the second time this season, picking up their only win at the No. 1 position, where Boris Kuharic and Felipe Diaz defeated Henner Nehles and Sean Hubbard, 8-5.
At No. 3 doubles, Tomas Bohunicky and Artie Burmistrau suffered their first defeat of the year, losing 8-1 to Jonathan Hooper and Martin Redelinghuys.
Senior Mark Van Elden continued his steady play at the top singles position, cruising past Nehles in straight sets, 6-2, 6-1, to improve his record to 9-3 on the year.
At No. 3 singles, Kuharic won his fifth straight match and improved to 9-1 on the year with a 3-6, 6-2, 7-5 comeback win over Romain Massaro.
Daniel Byrnes extended his personal winning streak to seven matches with a 6-2, 6-3 victory of Redelinghuys. Byrnes is now 7-3 on the year and has not lost a singles match since January 28.
The Rebels won at Nos. 2, 4 and 5 singles to add to their doubles victory.
Oklahoma State returns home for the conference opener against Nebraska at 2 p.m. Thursday.
