Cowgirl golfers finish sixth at Regional Challenge

Duke's Brittany Lang led wire-to-wire and won the individual title with an even-par 213. Cowgirl junior Karin Sjödin finished with a 78, her worst round of the tournament. The Swedish native finished 15th individually. Sophomore Mallorie Underwood finished 25th with a three-round total of 229.
Pepperdine won the tournament with a three-day total of 896, two strokes better than second-place UCLA. Duke finished third at 900, followed by Florida (904), Washington (906) and the Cowgirls (909). Texas finished with a 928, good for 11th place.
Cowgirl sophomore Candie Herrera rebounded from her 85 on Tuesday to card a 75 on Wednesday, moving from 65th to 55th place. Junior Kyla Welsh finished with a three-round total of 243.
