Cowgirl Basketball Closes Out Road Schedule With Trip To Lubbock

Oklahoma State's women's basketball team (7-17 overall, 2-12 Big 12) will play its final road game of the regular season on Saturday when it travels to Lubbock to take on the 14th-ranked Texas Tech Lady Raiders (20-5, 11-3) at 7 p.m. The Cowgirls enter the contest in the midst of a four-game losing streak after falling, 75-61, on Wednesday night at Texas A&M. Tech enters the game having won three consecutive outings after picking up an 83-70 win on Wednesday at Oklahoma.
ABOUT THE LADY RAIDERS
The Lady Raiders enter the contest with three consecutive wins under their belt after defeating Oklahoma during their midweek matchup in Norman. Tech has been formidable at home this season, posting a 13-2 mark overall. The Lady Raiders enter the weekend scoring 73.3 points per game and have four players averaging double figures in the scoring column with center Cisti Greenwalt leading the way at 13.5 points per game. The senior also leads the squad and is second in the conference in rebounding with a 9.6 boards per game average. Junior guard Erin Grant leads the team with 165 assists on the season and her 6.88 assists per game are tops in the Big 12.
OSU AND TECH—THE SERIES
The Cowgirls and Lady Raiders have squared off 31 times, including Tech's 76-38 win on Jan. 8 in Stillwater that pushed its overall lead in the series to 19-12. The Lady Raiders have won 16 of the last 18 in the series with both OSU victories coming in Stillwater. The Cowgirls' last win over Tech came last season when they emerged with an 88-87 victory in double overtime in Gallagher-Iba Arena. The Lady Raiders own a 9-3 advantage at home in the series after reeling off wins in each of the seven contests in Lubbock. Each of Tech's wins during its current winning streak has come by double digits.
