Cowboys host Red Raiders
Oklahoma State faces Texas Tech for the second time this season, this time in Gallagher-Iba Arena. Tipoff for Saturday's game is set for 2:30 p.m., and the game will be televised by CBS Sports. OSU is 19-3 overall and 9-2 in Big 12 Conference action, coming off a 66-59 win over Texas A&M on Saturday in College Station. The Red Raiders are 16-6 overall and 8-3 in league play after an impressive 80-79 double-overtime win against Kansas in Lubbock Monday night. The Cowboys won the earlier meeting between the two schools with a 76-66 victory in Lubbock. OSU is ranked seventh in the latest USA Today/ESPN Coaches Poll, and eighth in the Associated Press poll. Tech is 25th in the ESPN poll, and receiving votes in the AP poll. The Cowboys are in second place in the Big 12, one game back of Kansas, while Texas Tech is in third place in the league, one game behind the Pokes. Oklahoma State leads the all-time series with Texas Tech, 23-10, including a 9-3 mark in Stillwater.
OSU-Texas Tech on television
Oklahoma States game against Texas Tech will be televised by CBS Sports. Verne Lundquist will handle the play-by-play duties, while Billy Packer will provide color commentary. It is the Cowboys first of two games broadcast by CBS this season. It will be OSUs 19th appearance on TV this season, with 10 televised nationally by either ABC, CBS, ESPN or ESPN2. The Cowboys Feb. 27 game at Kansas will also be televised on CBS, as well as any postseason NCAA Tournament games.

Oklahoma States defense limited Texas A&M to just 39.2 percent shooting from the floor, including just 4-of-16 from long range, and the Cowboys defeated the Aggies, 66-59, before a sold-out crowd in Reed Arena. John Lucas scored a game-high 18 points and dished out seven assists, while Joey Graham (17 points, seven rebounds) and Ivan McFarlin (13 points, eight boards), both reached double figures. OSU also outrebounded A&M, 39-30, and shot 47.2 percent from the floor, including 6-of-14 from beyond the three-point arc. It was Oklahoma States fifth-straight win, and the 10th over Texas A&M in the series.
About Texas Tech
Texas Tech is 16-6 overall this season and in third place in the league with an 8-3 Big 12 mark. The Red Raiders are led by guard Ronald Ross, who is averaging 17.3 points per game on 56.6 percent shooting from the floor and 51.7 percent shooting (31-of-60) from long range. Guard Jarrius Jackson is chipping in 15.4 points per contest and has a 2.2 assist/turnover ratio. Guard/forward Martin Zeno is averaging 13.4 points per game, while Devonne Giles (12 points, 6.3 rebounds per game), rounds out Techs double-figure scorers. As a team, the Red Raiders lead the league in scoring, averaging 82.3 points per game. They also lead the Big 12 in long-range shooting, connecting on 110-of-252 shots, good for 43.7 percent, and in free-throw shooting (77.9 percent). Tech has the best turnover ratio in the Big 12, forcing an average of five more turnovers than it is committing. The Red Raiders are coached by Bob Knight, who is 84-39 in his fourth season with Tech and 848-328 in his 39th season coaching overall.
Series vs. the Red Raiders
Oklahoma State leads the all-time series with Texas Tech, 23-10, including a 9-3 mark in Stillwater. The Cowboys have won the last three meetings, and 14 of the last 18 against the Red Raiders. OSU is 14-6 vs. Tech since the Big 12 Conference formed in 1996-97. Oklahoma State won the first game between these two teams this season, 76-66. In the last 10 games, OSU has won six contests by an average of six points, while TTU has won four by an average of 18 points. Only one of those four games was in Stillwater, a 62-57 victory on Feb. 24, 2003.
Last time vs. the Red Raiders
Joey Graham scored a game-high 25 points and John Lucas added 20 as the Cowboys defeated the Red Raiders, 76-66, to open the conference season. Graham and Lucas were only 14-of-30 from the floor, but Graham was 10-of-10 from the free-throw line and Lucas was 6-of-9 from long range. Ivan McFarlin added 14 points for OSU on 7-of-9 shooting, and Stephen Graham chipped in 13 points off the bench. Oklahoma State outrebounded Tech, 38-22, and held the Raiders to 42.6 percent shooting from the floor, including 0-of-3 from three-point range.
Down the road
Oklahoma State travels to Lincoln, Neb., to take on the Nebraska Huskers (10-10, 4-6) on Tuesday, Feb. 22, in a 7 p.m. game at the Devaney Sports Center. OSU will play its final road game of the regular season on Sunday, Feb. 27, as the Pokes travel to Lawrence, Kan., to take on the Kansas Jayhawks (20-2, 10-1). Tipoff for the nationally televised game will be 3 p.m. on CBS.
