OSU Set to Host Bertha Teague Classic
December 02, 2005 | Cowgirl Basketball
Oklahoma State's women's basketball team (1-3) will look to get back on the winning track this weekend when it plays host to the Tulsa Golden Hurricane in the second game of the Bertha Teague Classic. The Cowgirls have lost two-straight contests after Tuesday's 64-54 setback against Arkansas-Little Rock, while TU enters the game at 3-1. Tip is set for 3:30 p.m. and will be preceded by a 1:00 p.m. tilt between Oklahoma and Oral Roberts.
Scouting the Golden Hurricane
Tulsa moved to 3-1 on the season with its 66-64 win over Arkansas on Thursday night in Fayetteville. Jillian Robbins turned in a 28-point, 22-rebound performance as the Golden Hurricane went on a 13-0 run to close out the game and pick up the victory. Prior to their win over the Lady ÂBacks, TU opened the season with wins over Missouri-Kansas City and UT-San Antonio before suffering their lone loss at Missouri State. Saturday's contest marks the return of former OSU assistant and current TU assistant coach Amy Williams as well as former Cowgirl player Brittany Dietz, who is currently serving as a volunteer assistant for the Golden Hurricane.
What 2 Watch 4
The Cowgirls have an all-time record of 15-5 in the Bertha Teague Classic ...
