Cowgirl Basketball Set To Begin Exhibition Play on Saturday
November 04, 2005 | Cowgirl Basketball
The contest will mark the first for the Cowgirls under head coach Kurt Budke. After spending the past three seasons in charge of the program at Louisiana Tech, Budke is entering his 13th season overall as a head coach.
OSU returns five players from last season's team that finished 7-20, while six Cowgirls will be wearing the orange and black for the first time.
Saturday's game will mark the first of two exhibition games this season for the Cowgirls as they will host Panhandle State at 5:30 p.m. on November 11.
Last season, OSU defeated the Flyers, 87-45, in exhibition play. In that contest, Christian Hood and Devry McDonald were among the squad's four players to reach double figures in the scoring column with 12 and 10 points, respectively. Hood also grabbed a team-high 12 rebounds, while McDonald led the squad with five assists.
A reminder to fans, POSSE parking will not be in effect for Saturday's game, but will resume for the Cowgirls' contest against PSU.
