Cowgirl Basketball hosts Booster Club Luncheon

Oklahoma State University President and Systems CEO David Schmidly kicked off the 2005-06 Cowgirl Basketball season by hosting the inaugural booster club luncheon in the O-Club room in Gallagher-Iba Arena. Forty long-time Cowgirl Basketball supporters were invited to lunch and to meet the new coaching staff and players. President Schmidly first addressed the crowd to give his support to the new coaching staff and to encourage a university wide support network for Cowgirl Basketball. His vision is to growth the newly created booster club by having the forty members secure ten people each they believe will back the program. Following President Schmidly, head coach Kurt Budke spoke about his goals for this season and in the next five years and then introduced his coaching staff and players who where present.

Official team practice begins October 14th and the season tips off November 5th.
