Two Cowboys Eliminated in Qualfying Rounds

Oklahoma State's Thomas Bohunicky and Arstem Burmistrau both lost in the first round of the qualifying draw at the Polo Ralph Lauren All-American Tournament in Tulsa on Monday.

Burmistrau, junior, lost to Virginia's Jarrett Chirico in straight sets, 6-1, 6-2. Bohunicky, senior, was defeated by Wake Forest's Brett Ross, 6-3, 6-3. Bohunicky was the No. 4 seed for the qualifying rounds. The opening round of action featured 128 individuals.

The Cowboys will begin doubles play on Wednesday at the Michael D. Case Tennis Center with the qualifying draws. The teams of Daniel Byrnes and Felipe DiazÂ and Burmistrau and Bohunicky will be among the 64 doubles teams in action.
