Cowboy Tennis to Compete at Wilson/ITA Regional Championships

STILLWATER, Okla.--Oklahoma State's men's tennis team will send five players to the Wilson/ITA Regional Tennis Championships hosted by the University of Tulsa starting on Wednesday.

“We are looking forward to playing in a very tough regional tournament,” said head coach James Wadley. “Our players have been working hard and look forward to playing the best players in the region.”

Senior Tomas Bohunicky is the No. 5 seed and junior teammate Artie Burmistrau is seeded seventh in the individual tournament. Sophomore Jason Wright will also participate in singles action. The team of Daniel Byrnes and Felipe Diaz is seeded second in the doubles tournament and is the only OSU doubles team scheduled to compete.

The tournament will run through Monday and all matches will be held at the Michael D. Case Tennis Center. The singles finalists and doubles champions will advance to the ITA National Intercollegiate Championship hosted by Ohio State University, November 3-6.
