Allen Crowned 2006 Miss OSU

Backed by a loud student-athlete and family following, Cowgirl basketball Senior guard Lori Allen won the 2006 Miss OSU Pageant Thursday night. The Moore, Oklahoma native was among 12 other contestants to participate in the event. The pageant was hosted by current Miss Oklahoma, Jennifer Berry, who will be competing for Miss America later this summer and included an appearance by 2005 Miss OSU Katie Lamerton.

Allen was judged on her physical fitness, interview skills and her poise and presence on stage. Her platform is combating childhood obesity and her talent was an electric piano solo “Bumble Boogle.” Allen will now move on to represent OSU in the 2006 Miss Oklahoma competition later in the year for a chance to compete for Miss America.
