Cowgirl Basketball Set To Take On Texas Tech

Oklahoma State's women's basketball team (5-6, 0-1) will host No. 12/13Texas Tech (10-2, 1-0) at 4 p.m. on Saturday to open the home portion of its conference schedule. The contest will be televised by Fox Sports Net with Bill Land handling the play-by-play duties and Patti Phillips serving as the color analyst.
ABOUT TEXAS TECH
The Lady Raiders head to Stillwater fresh off a 70-64 victory over Oklahoma in Lubbock and are currently in the midst of a four-game winning streak. Thus far, Tech has played just one true road game, losing 61-58 on Nov. 28 at Stanford. The Lady Raiders have four players scoring in double figures and are led by sophomore forward Alesha Robertson's 14.4 points per game. Senior center Cisti Greenwalt is grabbing a team-best 9.9 rebounds per game, while junior guard Erin Grant leads the team with 73 assists. Tech enters the contest averaging 78.5 points per game and is holding its opposition to 51.7 points per outing. The Lady Raiders are currently leading the nation in blocked shots, averaging 8.8, and are second in field goal percentage defense, holding their opponents to 31 percent shooting.
OSU AND TECHÂTHE SERIES
This week's contest will be the 31st meeting all-time between the two schools. Tech holds an 18-12 record after splitting the season series last season. The Cowgirls won last year's meeting, 88-87, in double overtime to snap a four-game losing streak against the Lady Raiders. OSU has won eight of the 14 meetings in Stillwater, including two of the last three.
