The Cowboys are 13-2 overall and 3-1 in Big 12 Conference action after a 75-61 loss at Texas last Monday night. Baylor is 9-5 overall, 1-2 in league play after a 67-59 victory over Colorado in Waco Wednesday night. OSU owns the all-time series with Baylor, 41-12, including a 17-2 mark in Stillwater.
Last game
Oklahoma State was held to just 38.1 percent shooting, its lowest production of the season, and Texas went on a 15-0 run late in the first half as the Longhorns handed the Cowboys their first league loss of the season, 75-61, in Austin. Ivan McFarlin scored 19 points and grabbed nine boards, but he was the only post player remaining for the final eight minutes. Both Joey Graham and Terrence Crawford fouled out midway through the second period, leaving the Pokes with a small lineup. OSU led, 24-23, with 6:36 remaining in the first half before the Horns rolled off 15 straight points to take a 38-24 lead one minute before halftime. The Cowboys held Texas scoreless for the first six minutes of the second half, cutting the lead to two at 39-37. However, UT scored eight straight and OSU never got closer than five the rest of the way. Daniel Gibson, the Longhorns freshman point guard, scored 27 points and grabbed 10 rebounds. The Pokes made just nine trips to the free-throw line, compared to 28 by UT. OSU committed nearly twice as many fouls, 29-15.
Sutton ranks seventh all-time
With last Saturdays win over Iowa State, Coach Eddie Sutton surpassed his mentor, Henry Iba, for seventh place on the all-time career victories list. Sutton played for Mr. Iba from 1956-59, and was an assistant for the Iron Duke one season. Coach Sutton is 768-294 in his 35 year career at the Division I level. Mr. Iba was 767-338 in his 41 year career as a Division I coach at Northwest Missouri State, Colorado and what was then Oklahoma A&M. His career spanned six decades, from 1929-70.
Eddie Sutton Court
Oklahoma State officials announced immediately following the Iowa State game that the floor inside Gallagher-Iba Arena would from now on be known as Eddie Sutton Court. The floor, made of white maple, is the court that was originally installed in the arena in 1938. The arena was named Gallagher Hall after famed OSU wrestling coach Ed Gallagher. The Board of Regents renamed the arena in 1987 to include that of Mr. Iba. The entire facility is known as the OSU Athletics Center, while the basketball arena is known as Gallagher-Iba Arena. The court is called Eddie Sutton Court.

All 13 of OSUs wins this season have come by double figures. The lowest margin of victory for OSU is 10, in each of the last three wins ... The Pokes are averaging 6.5 three-pointers per game, the most by an OSU squad since 1998-99, when that squad averaged 6.8 treys per contest. In fact, the Cowboys current average ranks as the third best in school history (the 1994 squad averaged 7.6 threes per game) ... This years Cowboys have 16 20-point games between them through 15 contests. Last years squad had only four at this point in the year ... Oklahoma State is averaging 11,679 fans per game through eight games this season. This is an actual turnstile count, as most Cowboy games are sold out.
