Cowgirl Basketball Prepares For Bedlam Battle

Oklahoma State's women's basketball team (5-9, 0-4) will head south on I-35 for a midweek battle against Oklahoma (9-5, 1-2) on Wednesday night at 7 p.m. inside the Lloyd Noble Center. The Cowgirls will be in search of their first conference victory of the season, while the Sooners will look to bounce back from a 10-point loss at Baylor last weekend. The contest will be televised by the Sooner Sports Network with Mark Rodgers (play-by-play) and Patti Phillips (color analyst) serving as the talent.
ABOUT OKLAHOMA
Oklahoma enters this week's contest looking to bounce back from a 78-68 loss at Baylor last weekend. All five of the Sooners' losses have come away from home as they have posted a 6-0 mark in Norman. Sophomore forward Leah Rush checks in as the squad's leading scorer at 14.6 points per game, while senior guard Dionnah Jackson is averaging 13.9 points per game. Jackson is hitting 50 percent of her shots from the floor and is also the team's leading rebounder (8.2 rpg) and has team highs in assists (74), blocks (15) and steals (31).
OSU AND OUÂTHE SERIES
Wednesday's tilt will be the 74th in the Bedlam Series with Oklahoma holding a 39-34 lead. The Sooners have won 21 of the 32 meetings on their home floor, including the last six. OSU's last win in Norman came in 1998 when the Cowgirls posted a 76-54 victory. OSU's last victory in the series was a 70-56 triumph at the 1999 Big 12 Tournament.
