Cowboys Start Fall Tournament Season

Oklahoma State's men's tennis team opens the 2004 fall tournament schedule on Friday when they travel to Austin to compete in the University of Texas Fall Invitational.
The Cowboys enter the ten-team tournament ranked No. 35 in the ITA Preseason Tennis polls. No. 11 Rice, No. 57 Tulsa, No. 63 Texas Tech, No. 69 Texas A&M-Corpus Christi, No. 74 Texas-Arlington and host school No. 36 Texas are also ranked in the poll and competing in the weekend's tournament.
The Cowboys' No. 13 individually ranked Mark Van Elden and his doubles partner Daniel Byrnes will not be competing this weekend.
Competition begins Friday morning with the first round of singles play held at the Penick-Allison Tennis Center.
