Cowgirl Basketball Rounds Out Recruiting Class With All-American

Oklahoma State's women's basketball team wrapped up its 2003-04 recruiting class with the signing of Sandra Viksryte to a scholarship agreement it was announced today by Cowgirl head coach Julie Goodenough.

“We are very excited to have Sandra join the Cowgirl program,” Goodenough said. “She brings much needed experience with her to our post position."

Viksryte, a 6-1 forward, helped Weatherford (Texas) College to a 25-11 mark as a sophomore last season, leading the Lady Coyotes to both the conference and regional championships.

A native of Siauliai, Lithuania, Viksryte averaged 19 points and 8.7 rebounds per game on her way to being named a consensus first-team All-Northern Texas Junior College Athletic Conference pick. She was also tabbed as a first-team All-Region V selection and as an honorable mention NJCAA All-American.
