Cowgirl Basketball Adds Guard During Spring Signing Period

Oklahoma State's women's basketball team has announced the signing of guard Devry McDonald to a National Letter of Intent announced today by Cowgirl head coach Julie Goodenough.

“Being an experienced point guard, Devry fills a huge need that we have,” Goodenough said. “This past year she gained invaluable experience playing on one of the best junior college teams in the country and leading them to the national tournament.”

McDonald comes to the Cowgirls after one season at Seward County (Kan.) Community College and will have three seasons of eligibility remaining.

The Beaver, Okla., native led the Lady Saints to a 31-5 record while averaging 12 points and 4.7 assists per game. McDonald shot 50 percent from the floor, including a 44-percent clip from beyond the 3-point arc, on her way to being named a second-team All-Region VI selection and one of three freshman tabbed as all-regional tournament team pick.
