Chris Milliron Named Regional Tennis Assistant of the Year

STILLWATER, Okla. − Oklahoma State assistant tennis coach Chris Milliron was named the regional assistant coach of the year for the central region as it was voted on by area coaches.

Milliron has been instrumental in leading the Cowboys to consecutive NCAA Tournament appearances. The Cowboys made a run to the Sweet 16 in 2003 and were recently eliminated by Arkansas in the first round of this year's tournament.

The Cowboys went 17-6 this season, including an upset at sixth-ranked Rice, with assistance from Milliron. OSU went 4-3 in the Big 12 and finished fourth in the league behind Baylor, Texas A&M and Texas.

Milliron played collegiately at the University of Tulsa and has been an assistant under James Wadley the last two years.
