April 13, 2004 | Cowboy Tennis
The Cowboys are 13-3 overall and 2-2 in Big 12 action, while Oklahoma is 15-5 overall and maintain a 1-3 mark in league play.
Both teams are coming off of losses to Big 12 regular season champion Baylor. The Sooners lost 6-1 to the Bears on Saturday with Ondrej Fukala defeating No. 90 Matias Marin at the No. 2 position. Fukala is one of 4 Sooners who have lost three matches or fewer this season.
The Cowboys lost 7-0 to Baylor in a match that was much closer than the final score indicated. OSU led in all three doubles' matches and were ahead in the third set in three different singles' matches.
Mark Van Elden lost his first match of the season to third-ranked Benedikt Dorsch. Van Elden, Tomas Bohunicky and Boris Kuharic are a combined 43-5 in dual matches this season.
The Cowboys have won the last eight meetings between the two schools dating back to 1995. OSU won the only meeting last year defeating the Sooners 5-2 in Norman.
Admission is free to the match and free pizza and soft drinks will be served after the doubles' point.
