Cowgirl Golfers finish fourth at Liz Murphey Collegiate Classic

A pair of Cowgirl freshmen tied for 14th individually, with Mallory Underwood and Ashley Knoll both carding a three-round 221. Redshirt freshman Candy Herrera was one stroke back at 222, while junior Annie Thurman finished with a 223, tying for 20th place. Sophomore Karin Sjödin shot a 79 during the first round, but followed that up with a 73 and a 74 to finish 35th with a 226. Junior Jenny Karr shot a 232, playing as an individual.
Ohio State finished 11 strokes behind Georgia for second place, while Duke shot an 877 for third. The Cowgirls' 882 was good enough for fourth place, while Auburn rounded out the top-five teams.
Oklahoma State will return to action next weekend as the Cowgirls compete in the Bryan National Collegiate, April 2-4, in Greensboro, N.C.
