Cowboys Suffer First Loss to Arkansas 4-3

The Cowboys fell behind early after dropping two of the three doubles matches. Mark Van Elden and Daniel Byrnes lost to Nathan Price and Matt Simpson 8-2, while Yevgen Bondarchuk and Boris Kuharic dropped a tight match to Matt Roberts and Imraan Ismail 9-8. Juan Felipe Diaz and Tomas Bohunicky picked up the lone win for OSU defeating Adrian Zguns and Rohan Gajjar 8-6.
The doubles' point proved to be the difference as the two teams split the six singles' matches. Mark Van Elden had no trouble dispatching 12th-ranked Adrian Zguns 6-1, 6-2. Tomas Bohunicky also had an easy match at the No. 3 spot defeating Matt Simpson 6-1, 6-3. Boris Kuharic was the only other Cowboy to taste victory as he used third set tie-breaker to defeat Rohan Gajjar at the No. 4 spot.
