Cowgirls Set For Road Tilt With Baylor

Oklahoma State's women's basketball team (8-15 overall, 3-9 Big 12) will attempt to snap a five-game losing streak on Wednesday when it travels to Waco, Texas to take on No. 19/20 Baylor (18-6, 6-5) at 7 p.m. The Cowgirls will be looking to rebound from Saturday's 71-46 loss to Missouri in Stillwater, while the Lady Bears will look to bounce back from an 81-72 loss at Iowa State over the weekend.
SCOUTING THE LADY BEARS
Baylor opened the season with victories in 12 of its 13 non-conference games and is currently in a fifth-place tie with Oklahoma in the Big 12 standings. Forward Sophia Young is the squad's top scorer and rebounder, pacing the club at 16.1 points and 8.4 boards, respectively. The sophomore is currently second in the conference in rebounds per game, third in steals (2.54 spg) and fifth in field-goal percentage (.569). Baylor is outscoring its opponents by more than 18 points (18.6) per game and is outrebounding its opposition by nearly seven (6.8) rebounds per game. The Lady Bears have won 11 of the previous 18 meetings between the two schools and own a 7-1 record all-time against OSU in Waco.

Oklahoma State's women's basketball team saw its losing streak reach five games on Saturday night, falling 71-46 to Missouri in Stillwater The Cowgirls were marred by poor shooting, hitting just 22.6 percent from the floor in the first half on their way to a 32-20 deficit at the intermission. OSU converted just 28 percent of its shots on the night. Mizzou pulled away in the second half after holding the Cowgirls to three points through the first 8:36 of the second period. The Tigers watched their lead grow to 23 at 46-23 before OSU mounted a surge midway through the half. A Nina Stone three-point basket cut the deficit to 14 with just under eight minutes to play before a 10-2 Tiger run ended the contest.
