Cowgirl Basketball Set To Take On New Mexico

ABOUT NEW MEXICO New Mexico will bring an experienced club to Stillwater that includes 11 returning players and four starters from last year's NCAA Tournament squad that finished 23-8. The Lobos are coming off a 57-44 win last Saturday against in-state rival New Mexico State to open the season. The Lobos have made three consecutive postseason appearances, have won back-to-back Mountain West Conference Tournament titles and are the defending MWC regular season champions. Individually, senior forward Lindsey Arndt is coming off a solid campaign a year ago that saw her earn first team all-conference and MWC Tournament MVP honors.
OSU AND NEW MEXICO—THE SERIES Tuesday's meeting will be just the third ever between the Cowgirls and Lobos. The matchup will also mark the first-ever visit by New Mexico to Stillwater. OSU won the first meeting between the two schools, 58-54, at the Rainbow Wahine Classic in Honolulu, Hawaii on Jan. 4, 1986. The Lobos evened the series record with a 65-44 win at home on Dec. 13, 1997.
