Cowboy Tennis Wins Region V Qualifier

The Cowboys dropped the doubles point to the Sooners in the morning match, but rebounded to win the first four singles matches in straight sets on the way to a 4-1 victory. The Pokes got wins from Mark Van Elden, Tomas Buhunicky, Boris Kuharic and Daniel Byrnes.
In the afternoon match, the Cowboys again dropped the doubles point to Arkansas, but in similar fashion to the earlier match, came back to claim the first four singles matches and win 4-1. Van Elden, Bohunicky, Artsem Burmistrau, and Felipe Diaz each won in straight sets.
Today's victory earns Oklahoma State a birth at the ITA National Indoor Championships in Chicago from February 17-20.
