The loss was the third consecutive for the Cowgirls, who fell to 5-6, while Arkansas won its seventh straight to improve to 11-2.
The two squads battled back and forth in the first half, exchanging the lead 10 times before the Lady'Backs closed out the stanza with four straight points to take a 34-31 lead into the intermission.
OSU senior Trisha Skibbe scored 15 of her game-high 27 points and pulled down 10 of her 12 rebounds in the half to keep the Cowgirls close. The Oxford, Kan., native has now broken the 20-point plateau in nine consecutive games.
However, OSU could manage only seven field goals in the second half as Arkansas went on a 19-6 run to open a 14-point cushion and pull away. The Lady'Backs had five players reach double figures in the scoring column with Kristin Moore leading the way with 16.
The Cowgirls will open Big 12 play on Wednesday when they host Texas A&M in Stillwater.
