Netters Split With Fresno State

Mark Van Elden and Tomas Bohunicky each won their matches in straight sets. Van Elden defeated 76th ranked Hector Almada 6-1, 7-5, while Bohunicky took down Sergiu Modoc 7-6, 6-2.
Boris Kuharic lost to 94th ranked Stefan Suta 7-5, 6-3, and Juan Felipe Diaz took Alex Krohn deep into the first two sets, but lost them both by a score of 7-5.
The Cowboys have two doubles matches against Rice later on today. Van Elden will team with Bohunicky when they take on the nation's top ranked doubles combo in Richard and William Barker. Diaz and Kuharic will face Robert Searle and Konstantin Haerle.
The Cowboys will resume singles play tomorrow against Rice and will take the court against both Texas and Texas A&M in doubles action as they continue to play in the 2003 Polo Tennis National Collegiate Preview in Tulsa.
