Beth Ulrickson Named Cowgirl Basketball Director of Operations

Ulrickson spent last season as a graduate assistant for Cowgirl head coach Julie Goodenough after serving the previous year as a student assistant under Goodenough at Hardin-Simmons University in Abilene, Texas.
A 2002 graduate of HSU, Ulrickson was a first-team all-conference selection and team captain for the Cowgirls, helping the squad to an Elite Eight berth in 2000 and the Sweet Sixteen in 2001. During those two seasons, HSU had a combined record of 49-8 and won a pair of conference titles.
“I enjoyed the time I spent with Coach Goodenough as a player. She has had a great influence on me and I have always considered her a mentor,” Ulrickson said. “I appreciate the opportunity to work with her and to be a part of a promising program.”
Ulrickson began her playing career at Weatherford (Texas) Junior College where she served as team captain and was named an academic all-conference selection.
“Beth has impressive communication skills and will be an incredible ambassador for the university,” Goodenough said. “Her positive attitude, strong work ethic and her loyalty will be a valuable asset to our program.”
Ulrickson fills the position formerly held by current New Mexico State assistant coach Phylesha Whaley.
