Oklahoma State Routs Texas A&M, 100-65

COLLEGE STATION, Texas (AP) - Oklahoma State made an incredible 17 of 20 field goals in the second half, using a 28-10 run after halftime to take the undefeated Cowboys to a 100-65 rout Saturday of Texas A&M in the Big 12 Conference opener for both teams.
The run turned a 44-38 halftime lead for Oklahoma State (11-0, 1-0) to a 72-48 advantage. After that, it was just a matter of how much the Cowboys would win by.
Adrian Peterson scored 25 points and Desmond Mason 21 for Oklahoma State, off to its third-best start ever.
Shanne Jones had a game-high 26 points for the Aggies (6-5, 0-1).
Oklahoma State hit 18 of 31 field goals in the first half to 13 of 36 for A&M, but the Aggies outscored the Cowboys 11-5 at the free throw line to stay close at the half.
After halftime, Oklahoma State not only hit 85 percent of its field goals but added a 15-of-17 performance at the line against the Aggies' 12-of-32 field goal effort and 2-of-7 free throws.
