Crow Earns Second Team All-Big 12 Recognition
June 09, 2003 | Cowgirl Basketball
First-team honors went to Oklahoma's Phylesha Whaley, the Big 12 Player of the Year, along with Edwina Brown of Texas, Iowa State's Stacy Frese, Lynn Pride of Kansas and Nebraska's Nicole Kubik.
Second-team accolades went to Texas Tech's Keitha Dickerson, ISU's Angie Welle, and OU's Stacey Dales and LaNeisha Caufield.
Crow, considered a Player-of-the-Year candidate by some publications, led the league in scoring, averaging 21.5 points per game. She achieved this feat despite the fact that most teams double- and triple-teamed her throughout the season. She also led the conference in free-throw percentage (88.3 percent), and was eighth in the league in assists per game.
Crow and the rest of the Cowgirls will play Kansas State in the first round of the Big 12 Tournament on Tuesday, March 7, at noon in Kansas City, Mo., at the Municipal Auditorium.
