The Cowgirls are 11-15 all-time vs. teams from the Southeastern Conference, while the Commodores are 10-7 all-time vs. Big 12 Conference teams.

Prior to that, Halterman was the head coach at Wheeling High School for four years, and led the team to a 105-11 record and the 1975 Missouri State High School Basketball Championship. CROW PICKS UP WHERE SHE LEFT OFF Cowgirl junior Jennifer Crow started the 1998-99 season right where she ended last year, leading the team. Crow's 23 points vs. SMU in the first game of the season led the game and were the most by a Cowgirl since she scored a career-high 25 points vs. Nebraska in the second round of the Big 12 Tournament last season. Her 10 rebounds in the game vs. SMU were a career high. Jennifer has scored in double figures in 39 of her 62 career games, and has scored at least 20 points in seven games, including 21 vs. NSU last weekend. Jennifer was named the MVP of the Jackson Diamond Jewelers' Cowgirl Classic last weekend.
HARMON WELL ROUNDED Cowgirl senior Nikki Harmon was expected to be a scoring threat this season, but she has improved her game in all aspects for her senior year. Harmon is averaging 10.2 points and 4.0 rebounds per game. She is also averaging 5.5 assists per game from her small forward position, including seven in each of the last two games. Nikki was named to the all-tournament team of the Jackson Diamond Jewelers' Cowgirl Classic last weekend.
GREGG CONTINUES SHOOTING TOUCH Cowgirl senior Megan Gregg continues to shoot the ball well this season, as proven by her 66.7 percent average from the floor. She has connected on 12-of-18 of her shots from the field. Megan set a school record for juniors last season with her 58.6 shooting percentage. It was also the second-highest percentage in OSU history.
FAULK SHOWS WHAT FRESHMEN CAN DO Cowgirl freshman Kara Faulk continues to impress the coaching staff, as can be seen by her 18 minutes averaged per game as a true freshman. She is fourth on the team in scoring, averaging 7.8 points per game, and is tied for the team lead with 7.0 rebounds per game. Kara recorded her first-ever double-double with 10 points and 11 rebounds vs. Northwestern State.
MAGNESS AVOIDS SOPH SLUMP Cowgirl sophomore Devon Magness appears to have avoided the sophomore slump, as she is currently averaging 10.0 points and 7.0 rebounds per game while shooting 53.8 percent from the floor. The 6-7 center has also connected on 12-of-16 free throws, good for 75.0 percent. She has five assists and four blocked shots through the first four games.
