The 1998 Cowgirls are currently allowing just59.7 points per game by the opposition, the best mark in the conference. It isalso the second-best average in school history, just 4/10th of a point abovethe school record of 59.3, set back in 1993. OSUs defense is allowing theopposition to convert on just 36.4 percent of shots attempted from the floor, which currently ranks as the best ever by an OSU ball club. The record is 38.0percent, allowed back in 1978, the first season statistics were kept.
70 Is The Magic Number This season, anytime either Oklahoma State or the opponent has scored at least70 points, that team has won the basketball game. The Cowgirls are 13-0 whenscoring at least 70 points, and six of those have come with 80 or more points.Likewise, when OSUs opponents have scored at least 70 points, the opponentsare 4-0.
