Van Elden Falls in Second Round of NCAA Tournament

Oklahoma State’s 59th-ranked Mark Van Elden fell to No. 39 ranked Georgia’s Nicolas Boeker,6-1,6-4, today in the second round of the NCAA Men’s Singles Tennis Championship in Athens, Ga.

Van Elden, an All-Big 12 member, finished the spring season with a 14-5 singles record at No. 1 singles and helped lead the Cowboys to a trip to the Sweet Sixteen.The Geelong Victoria, Australia native advance to the second round of the tournament after defeating Air Forces Shannon Buck, 7-5,6-0, in the first round.
