Cowgirl Sj?din Finishes Third At Liz Murphy Collegiate

Athens, Ga. - Oklahoma State freshman Karin Sj?din recorded a one-over-par 73 during Sunday's final round, finishing third individually here at the Liz Murphy Collegiate Classic. As a team, the Cowgirls finished eighth, one stroke back of Vanderbilt.
Duke won the team title by 11 strokes over second-place Ohio State, which moved from ninth after round one to fifth to second. Duke was paced by Elizabeth Janangelo, who won the individual title with a six-under 210. Ohio State's Lindsay Knowlton finished six strokes back at 216, one stroke ahead of Sj?din.
Cowgirls Annie Thurman and Christi Cano tied for 38th place after recording three-round totals of 229. Senior Linda Wessberg finished tied for 43rd with a 231, while sophomore Jenny Karr carded a 235 and finished in sole possession of 61st place.
The third-ranked Cowgirls will take a couple of weeks off before competing in the Big 12 Championships, April 21-23, in Columbia, Mo.
