Men's Netters Open Season at Hurricane Invitational

Oklahoma State's men's tennis team will open the fall season Friday at the Hurricane Invitational in Tulsa. The event will be the first of three the Cowboys will compete in during the fall season.

The Cowboys will be led by senior Jiri Jezek. The Pribram, Czech Republic native finished the 2002 spring season with a singles record of 13-5 and a doubles record of 11-6.

Jezek will face A. Nomicos of Oklahoma at 9 a.m. in the first round of the main draw singles bracket.

Freshmen Boris Kuharic and Tomas Bohunicky will also be competing in the main draw singles bracket.

Kuharic will compete against R. Livesay of Tulsa at 10:30 a.m. and Bohunicky will face J. Matthews of Tulsa at 10:30 a.m. in the first round.

Jezek will team up with Kuharic against Frankowics and McClure of Drake in the first round of the main draw doubles bracket at 12 p.m.

The winner of the doubles match will play in the second round on Friday at 2 p.m.
