Men's Netters Sweep Centenary College

Oklahoma State's men's tennis team began the spring season by defeating Centenary College, 7-0, on Sunday.
The Cowboys got off to a quick start by winning all three doubles matches giving them an early 1-0 lead.
Freshman Jiri Spousta and junior Yevgen Bondarchuk dominated Centenary's Nathan Bridges and Caleb Ashley, 8-0, at No. 1 doubles. Sophomore Boris Kuharic and freshman Juan Felipe Diaz teamed up at No. 2 doubles to beat Brian Roberts and Josh Pinto, 8-2.
At No. 3 doubles senior Jiri Jezek and sophomore Mark Van Elden completed the doubles sweep by defeating Charlie Matter and Arthur Okura, 8-1.
The Cowboys never looked back as they won all six singles matches in straight sets.
Van Elden blanked Bridges at the No. 1 singles spot, 6-0, 6-0. Bondarchuk defeated Ashley, 6-1, 6-3, at No. 2 singles. Kuharic kept the momentum going with a 6-3, 6-1 victory over Roberts at the No. 3 singles spot.
Bohunicky dominated at the No. 4 singles position beating Matter, 6-1,6-0. Jezek defeated Pinto, 6-2, 6-2, at No. 5 singles. Spousta finished the route at the No. 6 singles spot beating Khoury, 6-1, 6-1.
The Cowboys will return to action on Feb. 17 when they face Cowley County College at 3 p.m. at Ponca City, Okla.
