STILLWATER, Okla. - Oklahoma State's men's tennis team blanked Cowley County, 7-0, on Monday in Ponca City, Okla., improving their record to 2-0 on the season.
The Cowboys got off to a quick lead when junior Yevgen Bondarchuk defeated Ignacio Melus, 6-0, 6-0, at the No. 1 singles spot.
OSU never looked back as they won the next five singles matches in straight sets and swept through the doubles matches.
Bondarchuk teamed up with freshman Jiri Spousta at the No. 1 doubles spot to beat Dean Clower and Jeff Stone, 8-1.
Sophomore Boris Kuharic and freshman Juan Felipe Diaz outlasted Melus and Derek Kellerman, 8-6, at the No. 2 doubles spot.
The Cowboys will return to action on Wednesday when they travel to Tulsa, Okla. to face Oral Roberts at 8 p.m.
