Cowgirl Golfers finish second at Mercedes-Benz Women's Collegiate

Junior Annie Thurman carded a three-under 69 during Tuesday's final round and finished tied for third individually at 219, two strokes behind co-leaders Allison Hanna of Ohio State and Arkansas' Courtney Mahon. Cowgirl freshman Ashley Knoll finished in the top-10 as well, tying for ninth.
Freshman Mallory Underwood fell from third to 12th in the final standings after recording a 78 during the final round after shooting a pair of even-par 72s during rounds one and two. Junior Jenny Karr finished 17th at 223, while freshman Ali Griffin finished 71st at 239.
The Swedish Junior National team finished third behind Oklahoma State, seven strokes behind the Cowgirls, while Tulane finished fourth and Georgia rounded out the top five. The second-place finish was OSU's third top-five finish of the season and second runnerup finish this year. The Cowgirls also finished second at the Dick McGuire Invitational.
OSU will wrap up the fall portion of its schedule when the Cowgirls travel to Myrtle Beach, S.C., to compete in the Hooters Match Play Championship, Nov. 2-4.
