Cowgirls Fall to Tulsa at Bertha Teague Classic

OSU (0-1) led the entire first half and held a 35-28 advantage over TU (1-0) at halftime.
Nina Stone and Brittany Dietz led the Cowgirls in the first half with 10 and nine points, respectively. Dietz scored all nine of her points from behind the arc and Stone finished with 19 points in their first game in a Cowgirl uniform.

The Cowgirls had a chance to regain the lead after Stone grabbed a rebound off of a missed jumper by Robbins and pushed the ball ahead to Christian Hood, but Hood could not make the open lay-up.
OSU got one more shot with less than a second to go. Kara Pongonis sank a free-throw to make it a 58-56 game. Skibbe inbounded the ball up the court to Shyra Samuels, who heaved a long shot that would have beaten the buzzer, but it fell short.
