Cowboys? Doubles Team Advances

Diaz and Kuharic slipped past the North Carolina duo of Ben Aiken and Andy Metzler 9-7. They ousted the Georgia Tech team of Trevor Mcleod and Joao Menano by winning 9-8. They then took out Florida Gators Chris Brandi and Martin Stiegwardt 8-3.
Diaz and Kuharic will face Zach Daily and Lewis Smith of Vanderbilt tomorrow morning at 8 a.m. to advance to the qualifying bracket.
In singles play, the Cowboys won a pair of matches. Tomas Bohunicky defeated Troy Havens of Purdue 6-4, 3-6, 6-4 before losing to Gabriel Stangberg of Central Florida 6-7, 7-6, 6-4.
Diaz knocked out Trey Johnson of Florida 6-3, 7-5 before being eliminated by Jose Luis Muguruza of Georgia Tech 6-3, 6-1.
Kuharic also lost to a Yellow Jacket losing to Jaime Rodriguez 6-4, 6-1.
The Cowboys will return home before traveling to Lubbock, Texas for a futures tournament beginning next weekend.
