2002-03 (Sophomore): Tremaine Fuqua (pronounced “tree-MAIN FEW-kwa”) averaged 13.1 points and 7.2 rebounds per game last season for Skyline College, leading the Trojans to a 19-15 record and the second round of the California Community College championships ... scored a career-high 31 points in the Trojans' 77-62 loss to the City College of San Francisco, and had five other 20-point contests ... grabbed a career-high 16 rebounds against Hartnell College, and equalled that with 16 boards against West Hills Community College ... had a career-high seven assists on three occasions ... finished the season with 21 double-figure scoring games, eight double-figure rebounding contests, and six double-doubles performances his sophomore season ... also averaged 3.3 assists and 2.4 blocks per contest ... ranked as the fourth-best post player in the junior-college ranks according to Tony Mejia's top-100 JUCO recruits on CBSSportsline.com, and was the eighth-best juco prospect overall ... ranked as one of the top-five center prospects in the country according to The Sporting News' College Basketball Preview in 2002, and one of the top-five overall prospects nationally according to the Littlefield JUCO Report ... was recruited by several schools, including Southeastern Conference powerhouses Alabama, Arkansas, Auburn and Georgia.
2001-02 (Freshman): Tremaine averaged 12.5 points, 7.4 rebounds and 2.2 blocks per game his freshman season at Skyline, when the Trojans made it to the semifinals of the California Community College championships, losing to eventual Cal CC champion Saddleback College, 89-88, in overtime ... scored a season-high 28 points against top-ranked City College of San Francisco, handing the Rams their first loss of the season ... was 12-of-23 from the floor in that 91-74 victory ... had a season-high 15 rebounds along with 18 points in a 90-73 win over Sierra College ... finished the season with 25 double-figure scoring games, including four 20-point contests, five double-figure rebounding games and four double-doubles ... set a season high with five assists against West Hills Community College.
High School: Tremaine played prep basketball at Skyline High School in Oakland, Calif. ... also played for the Nike High Five America team during the summer of 2000, and was the Most Valuable Player at the NAYS Summer Regional in 2001.
Personal: Born Sept. 14, 1982, Tremaine is the son of Sarah Fuqua. He has a brother, Treyvion. Tremaine enjoys listening to music, hanging out with friends, eating and sleeping. He is majoring in education at Oklahoma State.
