Tomas Bohunicky Advances to the Quartrers

TULSA, Okla. — Oklahoma State junior Tomas Bohunicky is the lone Cowboy left competing at the 2003 OMNI Hotels Region V Tennis Championships in Tulsa, Okla.
Bohunicky advanced to the quarterfinals by defeating Arkansas sophomore Rohan Gajjar in straight sets 6-3, 6-1. Bohunicky will face Anthony Perkins of Drake in the quarterfinal round today.
Boris Kuharic was eliminated in the round of 16 by another Razorback, Imran Ismail, 6-2, 6-4. Kuharic also suffered a setback in doubles with Juan Felipe Diaz. The pair lost in the round of 16 to the Oklahoma duo of Ondrei Fukala and Tommy Garrison.
Bohunicky is trying to grab a spot in the ITA national tennis championships to be played next month.
