TULSA, Okla. Â— All three Cowboys competing in the Region V Championships advanced to the second round in singles action at the Michael D. Case Tennis Center in Tulsa, Okla.

Tomas Bohunicky defeated Westin Hudnall of Wichita State in straight sets 6-3, 6-2. Bohunicky will face a stiff challenge in the second round against top seeded Dustin Taylor of Tulsa.

Juan Felipe Diaz outlasted Tulsa's Ricardo Rojas 6-4, 7-6. Diaz will face the No. 3 seed in the next round. Nathan Price of Arkansas won his first match in straight sets.

Boris Kuharic beat Juan Escalante of Wichita State in the first round. He will face fifth-seeded Ben Capuccitti from Illinois State in his next match.

Diaz and Kuharic will compete in doubles action later this evening. They are the seven seed and will face Marc Boiron and Derek Boland from Evansville.
