Cowgirl Basketball Adds Transfer to Recruiting Class

STILLWATER, Okla. - Former Oregon student-athlete Catherria Turner will join the Oklahoma State women's basketball team it was announced today by Cowgirl Head Coach Julie Goodenough.
"We are very excited to add Catherria to our program," Goodenough said. "She had a phenomenal playing career in high school and has the potential to be an outstanding player at this level."
Turner, a 5-6 guard, played in six games as a freshman for the Ducks last season, averaging 0.8 points, 0.2 rebounds and four minutes per game.
The Tucson, Ariz., native averaged a triple-double her senior year at Amphitheater High, scoring 29 points, grabbing 11 rebounds and recording 10 steals per game to earn player of the year honors from the Arizona Daily Star and the Tucson Citizen.
Turner led the state in scoring and steals during her senior campaign on her way to first-team all-state honors.
A sophomore-to-be, Turner will sit out the 2002-03 season and have three years of eligibility remaining.
