Zackrisson Earns Academic All-America Accolades

Stillwater, Okla. - Emma Zackrisson, a senior on the Oklahoma State women's golf team, has earned second-team Academic All-America honors, it was announced today. She is a member of the 2001-02 Verizon Academic All-America University Division Women's At-Large team.
Zackrisson won two tournaments this past season, including the Rainbow Wahine Invitational and the Big 12 Championships, which OSU won by three strokes over the Oklahoma Sooners. She finished her four-year career at Oklahoma State with a 76.20 strokes-per-round average, the third-best in school history.
A first-team All-Big 12 selection, Zackrisson also earned the Edith Cummings Munson Award as the top women's golfer both on the course and in the classroom. She is a native of Holmsund, Sweden, and earned her bachelor's degree in journalism and broadcasting in May with a 3.88 grade point average.
